[00:56] Quote truck insurance today in as little as eight minutes at com. [01:01] Progressive Casualty Insurance Company and Affiliates. [01:03] One of the core subconscious beliefs that I uncovered in my late 20s was the belief that I was worthless.

If you would have asked me consciously, hey dude, do you believe you're worthless? I would have been like, no, of course not. It's a silly thing to say. But the truth of the matter was that there is these core beliefs that live beneath our conscious awareness. [01:33] We are here and today's guest is someone I've been waiting to have a conversation with. He's written one of the best books that I've ever read and is just a great follower and a believer of truth. He's a high performance coach of elite entrepreneurs.

He is the GOAT of all GOATs. [01:57] insightful, the visionary, the impactful. [02:01] Mr. Brandon Epstein. Brandon, how you doing today, brother? [02:03] Wow, man. What an intro. Jeez, you're going to make me blessed, man. No blessing, no blessing, no blessing. [02:12] Nah man, I'm truly honored to be here with you dude We're gonna talk a lot about [02:18] The success code, we're going to talk a lot about some of the things that you have going on and cooking up in the future, because I know you well enough to know you always have something you're working on improving, man.

[02:29] But I love starting the show by asking my guests about their because. [02:35] That thing that's deeper than. [02:37] then their why, like that true passion and purpose that they have. And it changes from time to time. So if I were to say right now in this season that Brandon is in, [02:46] What's your because today, brother? [02:49] Yeah, my because is to align with my most joyful expression in the present moment. [02:57] and guide other people to do the same. [03:00] Because I work with, like you said, a lot of business owners, professional athletes, entertainers.

And what I find is that that flow state, that zone, that place where their genius is really put on display is directly aligned with play, with joy, with coming into the present moment and feeling free. So I can't support anyone else with that unless I'm actually taking my own medicine. So I prioritize it for myself first and then try to bring it out to the people I work with. [03:27] Yes, sir. Yes, sir. You know, again, a huge fan of you and going into your because a little bit. [03:33] You know, you talk a lot and teach a lot on removing those subconscious blocks that we have and.

[03:39] And it was through you that I realized that we actually have [03:42] those subconscious blocks, man. Like, [03:45] Was there a specific block that you had to overcome that kind of led you [03:50] to the discovery for yourself. [03:53] Absolutely. There's many, many, many, many, many, many. I think about our inner world, our subconscious as our own inner planet we're living on. And for me, um, [04:06] I would say I was born into a celestial experience with a very dirty inner planet and I was born [04:14] um, subconscious program to make me fail in many ways.

And then just picking that up, you know, from environment, family, people you get exposed to, um, [04:26] it programmed me to fail in many ways. And so, uh, I'm, [04:31] There's too many to count, but I would probably say one of the core subconscious beliefs that I uncovered in my late 20s that's really set me free in a major way was the belief that I was worthless. [04:43] And if you would have asked me consciously, hey, dude, [04:46] do you believe you're worthless? I would have been like, no, of course not.

It's a silly thing to say because I'd already been in the space of working on myself and helping others for over a decade. But the truth of the matter was that there is these core beliefs that live beneath our conscious awareness. And if you can get yourself down there beneath the known and you go into the unknown, which is where most people don't want to go because it's uncomfortable because you don't know. Yeah, that's where you get to the root of your suffering and you also [05:16] for meals worthless because think of if I'm in a relationship with a woman, [05:21] Well, what the hell's wrong with her?

[05:22] She wants to be with someone who's worthless, right? That's a subconscious code running. Oh, what if I'm trying to sell my something or sell my product? [05:30] Well, I'm worthless, so... [05:31] Why would you want anything from me? [05:33] So that was a real deep core belief that I had to rewire for myself to expand and start to magnetize more of what I wanted in my life. [05:44] Dude, that is so deep. And it kind of leads me into like the next segment, right? I like to call it the unplugged truths.

[05:54] And when I read Success Code, [05:57] Here's what I realize. And this is kind of my way of quantifying it because you say it so eloquently in the book, too. [06:04] is that [06:06] Most of us are trying to win externally. [06:09] Right? [06:10] but we're losing internally, almost just like what you said. And then we never understand success. [06:17] Because we don't really know what it feels like Right like we're so focused on this External external external [06:24] But on the inside is where we lose. And I'd love to break that truth down because I'm talking to the expert.

And for those that are watching and listening, I'm, [06:34] I'm about to ask a whole bunch of questions that I know you want to ask Brandon because I want to ask Brandon these questions. And so when I get the expert, I'm going selfishly into fixing Mick today. [06:44] Yeah, beautiful, man. Well, dude, I got to point to... [06:48] One of my goats, Tony Robbins, has a quote that he says, the ultimate failure is success without fulfillment, right? And that's what we're talking about. Because... [06:56] Most of us were programmed into this matrix, which is this reality we live in.

And we're basically fed through media, through community, through our environment, and we're [07:06] what we should want. [07:08] What should make us happy? What should give us a sense of peace, joy? [07:13] Love. But when we try to create our reality based off of what our head thinks we should want, we disconnect ourselves from the truth. And the truth always lives in the heart and the truth is directly connected to our higher power. So whatever that is, for me, it's God and I can feel that moving through my heart in every moment.

[07:33] And the way I feel it is through inspiration. [07:36] inspiration lives in the heart. And so what I found a cheat code for trying to [07:42] Create a reality that's going to feel full instead of empty, as in you're creating outcomes and results for yourself that are actually going to enrich your life at the emotional level, is always act from inspiration and not obligation. [07:58] Because oftentimes, if we're trying to create from this place of obligation, we're doing it from our head. We're doing it from a story we've been told.

That's not our own. And so you get there, you create the outcome. Look, I sold my business. Look, I... [08:11] got this type of romantic partner, whatever that external thing is for you, if it's not [08:16] connected to your heart led inspiration, you're going to get there and be, and you're going to feel empty. It's going to be that ultimate failure Tony talks about. It's like, oh man, like I put all this work in. [08:27] And... [08:29] It wasn't worth it. [08:30] Yeah. [08:32] Mmm. [08:33] You know, this is something I need to ask you.

[08:37] Personally, I know that you coached this [08:40] I coach this, especially when I'm talking to salespeople. [08:44] And... [08:45] You do a lot with helping leaders and individuals. [08:49] Get access into their flow state. Right. And. [08:54] I'm a big believer in it. [08:56] But I also understand, Brandon, I'm asking this question for [09:00] every entrepreneur that exists today because of all the [09:04] the good distractions, right? Like I'm not even going to say bad distractions because some distractions are good. We just don't know how to, [09:11] get into the flow state to finish when, [09:13] one segment to the next, right?

Yes. And so with... [09:18] AI and the ability to build apps and the ability to [09:23] to sometimes do things on your own. [09:27] Even though we can, I don't necessarily think that we should, because for me personally, that interrupts my flow state, right? Like, [09:33] There's this new thing I can do and AI can do it for me. Well, guess what? I got to learn it. I have to train it. I have to validate it. I have to check it. [09:41] And now I'm not in the flow state because...

[09:43] I already knew how to do what I was trying to do anyway, but there was this new tool. And again, I'm not saying it's bad, but [09:49] Talk to us. [09:51] that are in this distracted world on flow state, why it's important. And more importantly, [09:57] Some tips that we could get to stay there. [10:01] Yeah. When I'm working with any client to try to get them into flow state, it's mostly addition by subtraction. [10:09] So we can work our way down through that, right? So it starts with the conscious low-hanging fruit.

If some were to audit their lives and they're like, all right, where does distractions come from? Where does procrastination come from? Where do you feel out of flow? I bet you most people could say a handful of things that they know if they stop doing these things. [10:29] It's going to create more spaciousness. It's going to create a better environment for getting into flow. So we have those conscious low-hanging fruits. [10:37] Those things you already know. And then we have the subconscious, which is [10:41] Definitely not low-hanging fruit. It's not something that's readily available for you to get into.

You actually have to access that stuff through your feeling body. We call it our somatic body, which means, okay, there's something I want to do and I want to feel in flow state, right? If I was a basketball player, for example, you know, NBA playoffs are on right now. I'm a big Knicks fan. So like if I'm watching Jalen Brunson. [11:05] Come on, we're not out of the playoffs yet, all right? [11:08] So if you're seeing one of these guys And they want to get into flow state [11:15] let's say for sport because sport is usually a place where we talk about being a flow quite a bit.

Um, [11:21] Thank you. [11:22] You want to imagine yourself getting into that environment and playing your best. And then you want to notice what are the emotions that come up that create resistance around the experience that you would like to have. So it might be a feeling of anxiety, self-doubt, lack of confidence. You actually welcome that in. [11:39] Because what we resist is going to persist. So if there's any of that weird feeling beneath the surface, that's going to bubble up. It's going to prevent you from getting into the flow.

So what we can accept can change. So what do we do? We welcome it in. We say, okay... [11:54] Doubt. Let's see, where does this doubt live in my body? Let me feel into it. And you're actually feeling it. [12:00] You're not just thinking about it. You're feeling the doubt. And if you can find it in your physical body, that's going to help even more let you access it. And when you feel it, you're going to ask yourself the question, what am I believing to be true right now, which is what is that piece of code running your subconscious that's filtering your reality?

[12:17] That's the belief. What am I believing to be true? It's making me feel doubtful right now, right? And it could be for the NBA player, it could be, oh, well, this guy's guarding me. And last time I played him, you know, [12:29] I was 0 for 9 from the field, so I'm afraid that will happen again. So if that comes up, it's like, okay, I believe, I have doubt because I believe that the person I'm competing against... [12:41] is going to lock me down. And so we accept it. [12:45] And we surrender that story into the past.

And then we choose a new belief because everything in our known universe has a polarity, right? There's light and there's dark. There's good. There's evil. Everything has its polarity. So all we're doing is flipping the polarity. The opposite polarity would be, I believe that I'm going to light this guy up. [13:03] Right. And so, but it's not an affirmation. [13:07] These aren't just like things that you're choosing to say to yourself in front of the mirror. We have to understand the path that we took to get there. [13:14] It lived in your body already.

It was already filtering your reality. The doubt was inevitable. And so we had to accept it to change it. [13:22] We had to surrender it to create space for something new. And then we had to flip the polarity because that's how alchemy works, right? That's how we can change anything in our lives within ourselves or in our external world. The alchemy is the opposite polarity, the north versus the south polarity on a magnet. So we choose the opposite, which is, oh, I'm going to light this guy up. We breathe through it.

We receive it into our body. And then I like to tell my clients, like, repetition. Again, Tony the goat. Repetition is the mother of the skill. [13:52] Thank you. [13:53] uncover some of these beliefs are [13:55] That are going to be key for them getting into that flow state, record a voice memo on their phone, reading all these new beliefs, and then listen to it like your own soundtrack for your life because that's going to program your subconscious in the background. So your self-talk is going to automatically put you into that flow state.

[14:12] So that is how I would [14:14] recommend anyone to get into more flow. [14:17] Love it. That was definitely a truth right there. And then this is also a truth. [14:23] That it took me some time. [14:25] To understand [14:27] Um, [14:28] You talk a lot. You talk some of the book, but if you've ever followed Brandon and I, [14:33] Suggest everybody do that. LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, whatever. Like he's got a lot of amazing content. [14:40] You talk a lot about [14:42] being rewired, right? And having these retreats, [14:47] And...

[14:48] Again, it was something I'm not going to say I didn't believe in it. [14:52] I just didn't understand it, but you helped break it down for me. And so now I can have those same conversations with my teams. [14:59] Talk to us about rewiring and those retreats, brother. [15:04] Yeah. So my rewired method is essentially what I just walked you through, right? Because [15:10] When you are... [15:12] When you go through the rewired method, you're essentially cleaning up all the garbage and the trash and the pollution on your own inner planet.

And when you clean that up, the only thing that's remaining is a lush, beautiful world. So within, so without, right? And so when you look around the physical world, like if we were just to live in harmony, right? I live in Columbia in South America, right? So we got the Amazon rainforest here and there's indigenous people that still live there. [15:36] And those people, for the most part, they live in harmony with the earth, right? They're like speaking to the trees. Hey, can I cut you down? Right? They're like doing a prayer every time they take an animal from the forest and they're creating this equilibrium.

But when we get out of balance... [15:51] in the external world, we start, you know, knocking down all the trees for greed and we start polluting the rivers out of convenience and all these things, it becomes a terrible place to live. It's like, oh, this is gross. I don't want to live here. Right. Like going to like some, [16:06] you know, some city that is like, [16:09] They have no regulations around how to take care of their natural spaces. And that same thing holds true for your inner world. You have to understand that.

It's like if you've gone through trauma in your life, [16:20] like there's going to be this emotional scar tissue that's just creating pollution on your inner world until you go through, [16:26] It could be mine, but there's many people who do it. [16:29] this stuff in different ways. My method is the reroute method. So with my stuff, I'm literally just teaching you how to do this work that's been around since the beginning of time. Nothing new under the sun. This is nothing new. The only thing new is my unique perspective, right?

So my book is like, here's my story. Here's the story about a young man and how he discovered these things and applied it to his own life and started teaching it to others. So it's my unique perspective of it. And in that, it's coming back to this universal love, [16:59] That says that, yeah, so within and so without. So you have to understand if there's pollution in your inner world, we need to clean that up to create harmony within yourself so you feel good. Because when you feel good, you're going to have a natural inclination to want to behave in alignment with what your goals are.

And you'll naturally flow towards the desired outcomes in your life instead of having to push and punish yourself along the way. [17:23] Real talk. I remember staring at a $35 overdraft fee thinking they just charged me money for not having money. That is broken. Chime fixed it. Chime is fee-free banking built for you, not the 1%. Potential savings will vary. [19:08] Mm. Mm, mm, mm. [19:11] That's why I had to talk to Brandon, ladies and gentlemen. I have to get this out because I can't get this from anyone else. And. [19:18] Brandon, I love a hot take, bro. [19:22] I love a hot take. And the success code. [19:27] was a bunch of hot takes, dude. Like, it was hot take after hot take after hot take.

[19:32] And you said something. [19:34] And I wrote it down and I was like, holy crap. [19:37] You said. [19:39] We've all been coded. [19:41] and it's costing us. Talk us through that quote and what that means to you and what all of us should get out of that. [19:50] Yeah, I think that [19:51] To take it one step further, I feel like you're not really... [19:55] a sovereign adult until you go and examine the code that you've been given. [20:00] Because otherwise, you could be living... [20:04] the code that was imprinted in you as a kid, right?

From zero to seven years old, those are our primary years of being coded by our environment, by our parents, whatever. I think our job is not to demonize our parents or our environment we grew up in. Instead, just understand that they're passing... [20:20] the baton to you, right? And now it's your turn to move forward with it. And so as you receive that baton, it could be that your parents were like, [20:30] super stressed out about money. And so whenever money came up in the household, you start like getting into a fight or flight state.

That's not yours. You got that from them. [20:39] But you have to also understand that now it's your turn. [20:43] to do the adult stuff, to actually go into that, to explore it and go through that rewired method, to recode your beliefs around money. So it doesn't create this fight or flight, this response for you. It becomes more matter of fact. And that's what a lot of this work is. It's not about recoding yourself in a way that you're like all hyped up every day. You're like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

No, you want everything just to feel matter of fact. It's just like, yeah. [21:07] This is the next logical action for me to take. And that even keel place is where that consistency lies. [21:13] Yeah, bro. Again, hot take after hot take. But you give action and fundamental approaches to everything that you do and that you talk about in the book. And another thing that you got me thinking about and challenged me on is like reprogramming, man. And so, you know, we talk about rewiring. [21:29] But, you know, this whole...

[21:32] We've been conditioned to think that we need to work harder. And you're like, wait a second, why don't you look at those limiting beliefs first? And then you walk us through an action plan there. [21:43] And I sat there and I said, doggone it. [21:46] Brandon is so right because he's, [21:48] I wanted to be the hardest worker. I used to wear it as a badge of honor that nobody could outwork me. Right. And it was the whole work smarter, not harder. And it's like, well, how can you really do all that?

[21:59] But then you got me to start thinking like, [22:02] I just have a limiting belief that, one, I need to work harder on something. And then how do I remove that limiting belief? Because then things start to open up much more clearly. [22:12] And so I would say for everybody that's watching or listening, [22:16] We've all been coded. We use Brandon's terminology to work harder, but [22:20] What are you working harder to achieve? And what does that actually equal at the end of the day? Like to your point. [22:26] Is it fulfillment?

Is it joy? [22:29] And for most of us, that answer is no. [22:31] Yeah. And I think like, like, of course, like I think hard work is, [22:37] which is just like stacking consistent action. That is a part of being great at anything, right? Right. Yeah, and what you're getting at is like, [22:46] Is that hard work coming from inspiration or is it coming from obligation? Right. Coming back to what I mentioned earlier is, is, [22:53] If you are working hard, but you feel inspired to work hard, it's like, cool, put in a 16-hour day.

The inspiration is there. [22:59] But if you're hating, you're working against yourself, I've just seen it so many times. And it's like, if I ask someone like, well, what is the outcome you really want here? [23:07] And you really audit them and, [23:09] You have them identify, okay, well, if this is what you say you really want, right? [23:13] Let's take, for example, I work with a lot of successful business people. It's like, oh, I want... [23:20] I want to work harder so I have more time to spend with my family.

And you're looking at their life holistically and you're going, [23:26] So you're going to work, you already have 10 million in the bank, but you're going to work hard so you can spend more time with your family. It's like, dude, you're already there. You're already there. Right. Like if you want to do that, like you can do that. But we like we get stuck in this hard coding and it's like also identifying that like what got you here. [23:43] may not get you where you want to go. So that's a very common story for entrepreneurs.

[23:49] I think it might be unavoidable. Maybe this is my limiting belief, but [23:54] I think every business owner, every entrepreneur is going to have a season where they almost have to disconnect from their feelings to just survive a period of growth to get to traction. It's just like, you just got to. [24:08] eat shit for a little bit, just so you can get to that place you get traction. Every business owner I've talked to, [24:14] has to do that for a season, but then you have to understand, okay, I did it.

I put in these crazy hours. I did some things that like... [24:20] I wouldn't choose this job, but there's no one else to do it. So I fall on my shoulder and I had to do it. [24:25] Okay, understand maybe that's a season of your life, but [24:29] pull your head out from the weeds, right? [24:31] And look around like the guy who's like, I want to work harder so I have more time to build my family and realize, okay, maybe that's available for you right now. [24:38] And maybe you need to shift the way you're working or operating because maybe what got you here is not going to get you where you want to go.

And then maybe where you want to go is not going to get you where you want to go in that next checkpoint. So you just have to constantly stay in a state of awareness, which I talk about quite a bit in my book. And I think it's important just to create that space for yourself on a consistent basis, weekly, monthly, quarterly. So every six months, every year, just to drop in and see how much your actions are aligned with the life that you want to live. [25:08] this place for the sake of getting there.

I want to get this revenue number. [25:11] Ta-da-da-da. [25:12] Why? To what means? What's going to change your life if you get there? Maybe the fulfillment's going to be more there if like, [25:20] That isn't the number one priority. Instead, you find something else to prioritize. No, absolutely, man. [25:27] Absolutely. So I kind of gave my hot takes from the book. You're the author. Give me a couple of hot takes from the book that we didn't go into that you want to explore. [25:38] Oh, man, I think fundamentally... [25:42] many people see the world way too linearly, linearly, as in like, if I do this, then I'll create this.

If I do this, then I get this. And it creates this like, [25:53] transactional relationship with the universe, with God, whatever it is, right? And I would encourage everyone to break away from that, like, [26:01] If I do this hard thing, then I get this thing and reward. Instead, start to build this relational relationship, this surrender, this opening up of yourself. [26:10] For miracles to happen in your life and it not to have to happen linearly, because sometimes it's like, all right, well, if I, you know, we've kind of been programmed, right?

If I. [26:20] go to school and I go to a good school and I get good grades, I'll get a good job and then I'll get this and this and this. And you talk about AI, it's like, that's probably all about to explode if it hasn't already. And that's just an illusion. And so instead, what I encourage anyone to do [26:35] is come up with the most inspiring outcome they could possibly imagine for their life and let go of any linear path to get there because... [26:45] God will just throw in miracles into your life if you create space for it, if you let go of that just linear, well, I must get here so I can get here because you're just thinking too small.

You're thinking too short sighted. Expand your vision. [26:59] Connect with your true inspiration. [27:02] and just allow life to come deliver miracles into your life. For me this past year, one of those for me was [27:09] Getting on Joe Rogan's podcast, which... [27:12] It's like, I could have set up my business to do all the things, the right marketing, the funnels, the email campaigns, the retargeting, the ads. [27:20] I could have done all that and it wouldn't have been 1% of what [27:25] Getting a text message out of nowhere from Joe Rubin that he wants me on his show differently.

And I think that's kind of the intangible part of surrendering this linear... [27:34] timeline and expanding your vision and allowing miracles to happen for you. [27:40] Amen to that, bro. And that kind of segues into the next conversation I want to have. And I call it [27:47] the room. Every successful person that I know, including Brandon Epstein, [27:55] He's had a moment when they were in a room, a meeting, a dinner. [27:59] That person is, [28:02] that changed their life, whether that that was mentorship, whether that was a piece of advice, whether that was opening a door or introducing someone else.

[28:11] Talk to me about the room. [28:14] That changed your life, that moment that changed your life. [28:17] Yeah. Well, you probably know her because you read the book, but I'll share it with your audience. [28:22] When I was 18 years old, the most important thing in my life was playing college football. And when I went off to college my freshman year, I rode the bench. So I had to do practice and not play in the games and... [28:34] That was very ego-crushing for me. And so in that off-season, I just was looking for solutions, workouts, nutrition, supplements, what else I needed to do.

It brought me into a supplement shop, and I was reconnected with a guy who I had met before who was a manager of the shop. [28:51] who was my first real-life mystic who I've met. Because at the time, I was an atheist. I was disconnected from the source completely. Never grew up with any religion or... [29:02] spiritual connection. And this guy really started me down my spiritual path and he did it with the most simple question. He just was like, okay, you want to take these supplements? You're trying to get better.

He's like, how does it feel to be you? [29:15] Sounds like... [29:16] I was like, what does that have to do with anything? [29:19] What does that question have to do with anything? At the time, you know, mental health, those questions weren't really in the zeitgeist so much. And so when I sat into that, [29:27] It was just kind of like dumbfounded me, but it also was the beginning of my awakening because I realized, and this is what he taught me, is like how it felt to be me in that moment was a coming attraction for everything I was attracting into my life.

[29:40] And it was really the baseline for everything that matters. And so my whole life before that, I had been spending... [29:46] all my energy trying to figure everything out from my head and completely ignoring my feelings. [29:51] unaware. [29:53] that I was struggling with chronic anxiety and I was living in this inner turmoil all the time until he brought it to my attention. And so it's like, oh, why am I not attracting what I want? It's because I'm living in a state [30:05] of, [30:06] anxiety, stress, and I... [30:09] I can't get out of this.

And so him just bringing awareness to it, it created space for things to change and he started, [30:14] teaching me tools of how I can change how I felt through all these tools have been out there for a long time. He's taught me meditation. He taught me mindfulness. He taught me hypnosis. He taught me neuro-linguistic programming. He taught me about the energy body, the chakras, the meridians, and just really awakened me to possibilities. And so he was the guy who, [30:36] uh sensei clay shout out um who started to be down this path and without him um i don't know i don't know if i would be here today [30:45] So for those who haven't read the book And everybody's going to read the book And we've got links in the show notes in the descriptions for the book [30:53] Tell us where you went to school and the position you were playing.

[30:57] Yeah, I went to Whittier College. So it's a small Division III school in East Los Angeles. [31:05] As funny, I was a defensive end. [31:07] The goal is just to get as big as possible and just become a monster. That freshman year, I rode the bench. Then I went and learned all these tools, came back the next season, dominated, became a starter on the team. Not only that, but a lot of my teammates started seeking my support, and I became known as the guru, which was probably terrible for a 19-year-old's ego, but the athletic trainer called me that because I was helping so many of my teammates through some of their issues.

[31:37] for healing because at my core, [31:40] I consider myself a healer. And of course, I'm a coach to help people get to their goals. But it's the healing work I do that creates the flow towards their goals. And so... [31:50] That was a turning point. It was understanding I had these natural gifts and then just working at them like we discussed, being diligent and learning more school skills and practicing and getting reps and reps and reps. [32:02] I love it. I love it. And you just talked about [32:05] the mentor that helped you talk to the audience a little bit about

[32:10] just why it's important, right? Like I think a lot of times because because you're a coach, [32:15] Right. You work with individuals, you work with teams. [32:19] I think a lot of times our ego doesn't allow us to seek help. And I'm just going to say it, right? Like, cause when you hire a coach, [32:26] It's seeking help. [32:27] And it's not a bad thing. And I think more people should do it. So talk to the audience about why that's actually important. [32:34] Ever wonder who's out there making the world go round?

And the difference between a coach and let's say a psychologist or a therapist is those people are there to hold space for you. And that's great. And maybe ask you questions and dig in.

But if you can find a really good coach, that person is going to be invested in your outcomes, right? Versus like, [33:56] A lot of the other mental health fields, like positions, they're not necessarily like, hey, next week, you better get this done. You better create this outcome. I think the beautiful thing about having a coach personally just invested into you is that... [34:09] This person is [34:11] betting their reputation. They're betting on themselves to be able to help you get to your result. And that's a beautiful place to be.

[34:18] to have that type of leverage for someone who goes like, I only succeed if you do. Well, think about how invested they're going to be into your life. [34:25] And so if you can find a good coach, someone you trust, someone that you believe in, it's invaluable. And I've had many coaches that have delivered me the breakthroughs over the years that have absolutely loved. [34:36] transformed my life and I could not have done it on my own like to this day I do a coaching session with myself and [34:42] every week.

And in addition to that, [34:46] Every year for at least like a few months, I'm bringing in a coach to kind of audit me and just look at my stuff from another angle. And so I, [34:54] You'll never outgrow it because the ultimate game is the spiritual game. That's the infinite game. And that's what a good coach helps you uncover is getting to more and more inspiring outcomes that are aligned with your highest truth and your highest power and your highest expression of love. [35:09] That's it. Brandon, man, I'm honored to have you here.

I know you're so busy. [35:15] I got to get you out of here with the unplugged five. [35:21] So we're going to go rapid fire. [35:23] five questions. You don't have time to think about it, right? You get to be totally subconscious in these answers. Tell me when you're ready. [35:31] Let's go. [35:32] Let's do it. All right. [35:33] So, [35:34] Who's your favorite basketball team and why is it the Los Angeles Lakers? [35:38] It's a Knicks because I grew up in New York. I know. [35:44] The best thing for me about being a Knicks fan is getting to share that with my dad.

That's our main thing we bond over. And so it's very special because I'll tell you, I went through this awakening. [35:55] Especially in my late 20s where I was like, nothing matters. Everything matters. And I kind of removed myself from caring about things like sports. I was like, who cares? And then I was like, who cares? Because this is my greatest connection point to my father. That's why I care. [36:10] And so that's what it means to me. That's where my heart's at. [36:13] Nah, good stuff, good stuff So college you played defensive end Who was your favorite defensive end in the NFL, the history of the NFL?

[36:22] Hmm. What's his name? Probably Sean Ellis on the Jets. Because again, I grew up in New York. So okay. [36:29] Tennessee Volunteer College, I got you. [36:32] Yeah, yeah, yeah. [36:33] Literally today I was just talking to Jared Allen So I'll tell him to Jared Allen There you go [36:41] Amazing. [36:42] is... [36:44] You've had a great day. You're going to go to dinner. What's your celebration meal look like? [36:51] It's got to be a stake. It's got to be a big old stake. Especially, I live down here in Columbia, and...

[36:58] Um, [36:59] I don't trust the international food so much. I'm a pretty big snob. I grew up in New York. So like I'm spoiled, right? Like I get access to the whole world and the best of it there. And so here... [37:09] It's coming along. It's developing. But, dude, if I want to play it safe, I'm going to get myself a nice steak. [37:15] There you go. There you go. If you could give... [37:19] a leader. [37:21] an entrepreneur, [37:23] One message today. [37:25] about unlocking the success code, what would that be?

[37:29] I would say come back to this truth that I know best. [37:33] Yeah, right there in the heart. Connect to it. I know best. And even say it out loud. I know best. [37:38] I know best because I think that right now more than ever, [37:42] We are so overly exposed to everybody else's story and prerogative, and we are so disconnected from it. [37:50] the true self. And I want you as a leader, you've only gotten here, [37:55] Because you do know best. [37:56] So stop trying to outsource your authority to things outside of yourself, whether it's a book or a podcast or someone else's opinion.

I just want you to see what comes up from your heart when you sit into I Know Best. [38:08] I love that last question man you've written an amazing book [38:13] For when the book of Brandon Epstein is written, [38:16] when it's done. [38:17] What's one or two words that you want to define your legacy that will be in that book? [38:22] Mmm. [38:24] Father is one that comes to the strongest. I've got two little girls right now, a two-year-old and a five-year-old. Man, talk about spiritual work. That is the most challenging thing I've ever done is being a father.

I think if I can create kids who are happy and are fulfilling their purpose in the same way that I want my clients to, I think that that's the ultimate sign of success. [38:47] That's it so Brandon man huge fan of who you are huge fan of what you do and [38:53] We're going to have links to the success code. We're going to have links to your website.
